In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by Mexico at the United Nations, it is estimated that by 2018, 25% of the country’s energy consumption should come from clean sources.
One of the most relevant in recent years is solar energy, which harnesses the sun’s electromagnetic radiation to generate thermal and electrical power through photovoltaic cells. Utilizing the sun as a non-polluting, clean, affordable, and inexhaustible energy source allows Mexico to achieve greater energy independence and to plan the sustainable growth of its industries.
At Maiz Transforma, we are proud to be part of this global energy transition. We are currently developing a solar farm in Mexicali, Baja California, in collaboration with SunPower. This project strengthens our participation in renewable energy generation and positions us to take part in future high-tech, environmentally conscious projects.
