Maiz Transforma, committed to environmental responsibility, inaugurated its Enersus Plant in the State of Hidalgo on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, alongside Municipal President Yolanda Tellería Beltrán.
As the fifth landfill biogas plant in Mexico, this operation harnesses biogas by channeling it to a generator and burning methane, reducing its global warming potential by 28 times. The Pachuca Energy Plant will mitigate the equivalent of 70,000 tons of CO₂ annually, which is comparable to removing 10,000 vehicles from circulation in terms of emissions.
